KTDO Telemundo 48 Wins Multiple Emmy Awards  

 

El Paso, Texas - ZGS Communications is proud to announce that KTDO Telemundo 48 received three Emmy Awards for excellence in reporting and production.  The station was the only in El Paso to receive multiple Emmys.  The awards were announced Saturday night at the 11th Annual Lone Star Emmy Awards held at the Grand Hyatt in San Antonio.  The Lone Star Emmy Chapter serves all 19 television markets in Texas and is chartered by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). This is the second consecutive year that the station and its newscast Telenoticias El Paso have been honored with the prestigious recognitions.  

 

KTDO Telemundo 48 received the Emmy Awards in the following categories:

Telenoticias Reporter Gabriel Preciado was nominated for two awards, receiving the top prize for an in-depth look at the challenges of local veterans.  Antonio Favela, Sports Reporter presented a compelling look at the triumphs of local athletes participating in the Special Olympics.  Alfredo Lopez, KTDO 48's Production Manager won for the news promo Telenoticias 48, M�s Cerca de Usted (Closer to You) which is an inside look at Telenoticias from the point of view of the news team.

Telenoticias El Paso has steadily gained ground since its entry into the market just three years ago. It is the second most-watched newscast in the market at 10pm among adults 18-34.  Telenoticias has also increased its audience by more than 25% among adults 18-34 and adults 18-49, and by 53% among adults 25-54. KTDO Telemundo 48 is El Paso's leader among key demos, regardless of language, according to the latest survey from Nielsen.
