ZGS Blooms in May

 

With thousands of attendees, Telemundo celebrities, and dozens of local partners, ZGS wraps-up an eventful month with weekends full of fun, family-friendly local events in several markets. Participants took advantage of all the information and resources presented by sponsors and community based organizations, while enjoying plenty of activities and entertainment designed to engage and celebrate our communities.

In Fresno, KNSO Telemundo 51 welcomed one of the most popular stars in Spanish-language television, Dra. Ana Mar�a Polo of Caso Cerrado, where she kicked off local appearances with a  private reception for fifty-one lucky KNSO viewers on May 17. From Tulare to Fresno and Merced, fans of all ages shared their personal stories and dreams with the popular court TV show host, leaving the viewers of the Central Valley anxiously awaiting her return.  

 

Taming the bulls in Tampa

 Pen�lope Menchaca of Telemundo's hit show 12 Corazones joined Telemundo Tampa as the mistress of ceremonies for the 4th annual Fiesta Mexicana in Palmetto, Florida. The May 19 event was an exciting and interactive outdoor festival, celebrating Mexican heritage and its contributions to the local community including a jaripeo, a traditional Mexican rodeo. Musical performances included local Mexican groups, Ruidoso Banda Estrella from Guanajuato and Grupo Maravilla from Puebla.

In Washington D.C. and Orlando, mothers were honored at the annual Fiesta de Las Madres. The expos were a celebration of women and their families with special prizes, music, food and interactive activities for the entire family.

 

WZDC Telemundo Washington hosted the event for the 5th consecutive year on May 19, delighting participants with hilarious on-stage competitions including the Carrera De Los Machos, with men racing around cones in high-heels.  Telemundo celebrities David Chocarro and Aylin Mujica also partook in the festivities, signing autographs and posing with fans.

WTMO Telemundo Orlando celebrated Mother's Day weekend with its 3rd annual event. Daniel Sarcos, comedian and Telemundo morning show personality, joined WTMO's Telenoticias news team in entertaining the crowds and signing autographs, while musical acts Widy and Grupo 5 Solz kept the crowd energized and dancing. Fiesta de las Madres also served as the venue for the finals of Telemundo Orlando's dancing competition, I Love Salsa.
