The station's evening news block leads Spanish TV

Orlando, FL. - WTMO Telemundo Orlando is the number one Spanish-language news station in the market, as reflected in Nielsen's most recent survey. Telenoticias Orlando, the station's local news, finished the February rating period as the number one Spanish-language newscast at both 6pm and11pm among adults 18-34. The late edition at 11pm was tied as the second most watched newscast in the market regardless of language. Among Spanish-language viewers, the station received more than half of the coveted late news audience at 11pm, more than doubling its share from the same period last year.  Telenoticias Orlando at 6pm also more than doubled its share year-over-year.

In addition to the growth and success of its local news, Telemundo Orlando's evening news block from 5 to 7pm is a dominant number one with the Spanish-language audience, experiencing explosive growth in share from the same period last year. The national news, Noticiero Telemundo at 6:30pm grew its share dramatically and Al Rojo Vivo, the 5pm news magazine, was number one with Spanish television viewers in its time-period more than doubling its share year-to-year.

"Telemundo Orlando is proud to produce the only truly local Spanish-language newscast in the market. Our goal is to connect with viewers in a way that is relevant and responsive to the needs and issues that most affect the Hispanic community of Central Florida," said Larry De La Rosa, General Manager of Telemundo Orlando. "I want to congratulate the entire Telenoticias team for their dedication and hard work in making our station the preferred choice for Spanish-language news."
