Dra. Polo and Caso Cerrado are #1! | KTDO El Paso is #1 in the Market
KTDO is the number one station in El Paso regardless of language during early fringe (3pm - 5pm), according to Nielsen, with a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49, outperforming the local Univision, NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX affiliates in the market. The wildly popular show Caso Cerrado with Ana María Polo at 3pm is number one in the market while commanding two-thirds of the Spanish-language audience. Al Rojo Vivo with María Celeste delivers half of the Spanish-language audience at 4pm.
Other notable ratings highlights include:
- KTDO demonstrated significant growth in daytime (9am-3pm), almost doubling its Spanish share year-over-year.
- Lo Mejor de Caso Cerrado is number one in the market at 2pm, with over a third of local broadcast viewing.
- Telenoticias El Paso, the station's local news at 5pm experienced 50% growth from the July 2012 book among adults 25-54.
- The station's blockbuster hit Pablo Escobar: El Patrón del Mal (Pablo Escobar, The Drug Lord), the 9pm program, is number one for Spanish-language TV with over half of the audience among key demo adults 18-34.

Telemundo kicked off December with a new logo and look. Comcast and NBC Universal hosted a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the newly re-branded Telemundo in Washington, DC on December 3, and the fresh, dynamic fire red T was unveiled on-air December 8. Telemundo then took the celebration to Times Square in New York City on Monday the 10th where a flash mob danced its way into the shape of the new logo and Telemundo President Emilio Romano rang the opening bell at the NASDAQ Stock Exchange. The ZGS Telemundo affiliates have been busy unveiling the exciting new look throughout its markets. |

KNSO Fresno Partners with Macy's
KNSO Fresno partnered with Macy's in the Central Valley to host a Fiesta de la Fragrancia for the local Hispanic community. The goal of the Fragrance Party was to create foot traffic and boost sales within the fragrance departments at the three Macy's located in the Central Valley. The promotion included hourly raffles of fragrance gift baskets, free gift wrapping with the purchase of any fragrance, gift cards, refreshments and mariachis. Members of the KNSO team were present at each of the three Macy's as the station connected with viewers. The campaign included spots with the station's local talent and Macy's Spanish speaking managers welcomed viewers to take advantage of the Fiesta. KNSO viewers caused a spike in sales in the fragrance department as well as the total store sales demonstrating the power of KNSO. |

WNEU Boston continued its partnership with the New England Revolution, the area's professional soccer team, airing five games in Spanish this season. The station also provided the simultaneous broadcast in Spanish via the SAP feature as part of Comcast SportsNet's partnership with WNEU and the Revs. Omar Cabrera, WNEU's sports contributor, along with Daniel Gutierrez, local sports radio host and producer, and soccer analyst Ignacio "El Pibe" Farias, called this season's matches in Spanish. WNEU and the Revs are planning to collaborate on more exciting initiatives in 2013. |

| WZDC's creation and contribution to the auction | WZDC Washington Designs Table For Local Auction
WZDC Washington participated in an online auction of beautiful, one-of-a-kind hand-crafted tables and chairs organized by the Latin American Youth Center, a local nonprofit that works with youth and families. Local artists, youth and staff from the Center as well as members of the region's business, media, and international communities, including WZDC, created their own designs to contribute. The decorative and functional works of art were sold online. For each table sold, a local family was adopted for Thanksgiving and given a basket containing a turkey and other foods for a traditional holiday feast. |

| Santa visits KVDA | KVDA San Antonio Hosts First Posada
December 14th was a special day for KVDA San Antonio as the station opened its doors to celebrate Christmas with its first Posada. Over 1,500 viewers crowded the studios eager to take pictures with Santa Claus and meet the Telenoticias San Antonio team. Local businesses provided entertainment and free tacos and tamales. The celebration concluded with raffles and presents were given to attendees. |

| Volunteers help organize baskets | Romántica 900am Delivers Baskets of Love
Romántica 900am, the Prince George's County Police Department and the Maryland Chapter of the Hispanic National Law Enforcement Association (HNLEA) partnered to assist Hispanic families during the holiday season by distributing Canastas de Amor (Baskets of Love). The annual partnership collects and delivers food to local families in need. The station's on-air talent, volunteers, police department personnel, and community leaders collected food donations and organized the baskets on December 14 from 6am - 3pm at the Langley Park Police Community Center. In addition to the food drive, there was a mobile healthcare unit onsite provided by the Consulate of Mexico. Healthcare screenings were available and included vision exams, glucose screenings and blood pressure readings. Flu shots were also provided to the public free of charge. |

| The PSA produced by WNEU for the Museum of Fine Arts Boston | WNEU Boston Produces Museum of Fine Arts PSA
As part of its ongoing efforts to promote local activities and organizations, WNEU Boston partnered with the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) to produce and air PSAs aimed at introducing Spanish-language services and tours to the Latino community of Massachusetts. The partnership marked the first time the MFA has collaborated with a Spanish-language media outlet. One of the largest museums in the country, the MFA attracts over one million visitors every year and ranks 5th on the list of most-visited art institutions in the United States. The MFA quickly realized the impact of the PSA experiencing a remarkable increase in the Museum's Spanish tour. The campaign is also on holaciudad.com. |
| Red Sox mascot Wally, Verónica Robles, Mayor Angel Taveras, Shalim, Mike Gillespie and Rudy Rodriguez | WRIW Providence Hosts First Feria
WRIW Providence introduced La Feria de la Familia to the Latino community of Rhode Island in November. Angel Taveras, the Mayor of Providence, formally opened La Feria with a ribbon-cutting ceremony presenting WRIW with a citation on behalf of city residents for the station's outstanding community service. Verónica Robles, host of WRIW's local show Órale con Verónica, entertained attendees throughout the event, which featured popular Telemundo celebrity Shalim, who most recently appeared in the hit novela Una Maid en Manhattan. The event showcased plenty of area musical talent including Shawnee, DnE La Melodía, Alask y Yerial, Abigail, and tropical singer Alexander, who closed the event. One of the most popular attractions was WRIW's La Máquina del Dinero, which gave away hundreds of dollars to randomly selected participants. |

| The 10th Anniversary celebration | WZDC Washington DC Celebrates 10 Years of Ferias
WZDC Washington, DC celebrated the 10th Anniversary of La Feria de la Familia at the DC Armory on November 18 with a spectacular event. Over 75 exhibitors offered a wide variety of information, entertainment and activities. Penélope Ménchaca from the dating show 12 Corazones emceed the event, sharing the stage with Gabriel Coronel of Telemundo's Relaciones Peligrosas and Adriana Fonseca from the hit 9 p.m. novela Corazón Valiente. They joined the Telenoticias Washington news team signing autographs and taking pictures with fans. One of the highlights of the event was the final round of the local singing competition Solo Tu Voz presented by McDonald's. Finalists performed on stage and were judged by the audience who selected Kelvin Clavijo as the winner. The excitement of the event culminated with a performance from bachata star Toby Love and the annual grand prize giveaway of a new Toyota. José Martínez was this year's lucky winner of a 2013 Special Edition Camry. |
