NEW BEGINNINGS |
Our former vicar, Dustin Wright (2012-2013), was called to serve as pastor of Messiah Lutheran Church, Rotterdam, NY on July 13. He will be ordained by the bishop of the Upstate New York Synod, Marie Jerge, at 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 16 at his home congregation, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 60 Church Street, Manchester, Connecticut. Pastor Derr will preach.
Our present Vicar, Carol Schneider, completes her internship this week. Carol was approved for ordination by her candidacy committee this past week, and begins a chaplaincy residency at New York Methodist Hospital in September.
We give thanks for the birth of Nicholas Daniel Warner to Leslie and Tom Warner, and rejoice with them, along with brother Bradley, grandparents Dan and Carol and uncle Bradley Knueppel.
We also give thanks for the birth of Eleanor Victoria Thompson, daughter of Aaron and Carrie Thompson.

MEET THE MEMBERS |
Meet Wayne Britton, member of Saint Peter's since 2005.
Wayne is currently a Stage Manager for the television show Inside Edition, a position he's held for 24 years.
He brings his passion for the arts to the church through Creative Proclamations, a large group that stages dramatic presentations of liturgical readings including the Passion on Good Friday. Wayne enjoys the many voices that contribute: "At Saint Peter's we have both artistic and theatrical energies that could power cities." Wayne also oversees the Saint Peter's ushers, who help to seat people and collect offerings every Sunday.
If you think you'd be a great fit for Creative Proclamations or want to help out as an usher, email Wayne at [email protected].
Want to be featured in Meet the Members? Please send your name, picture, Saint Peter's involvement, and some fun facts about you to Jennifer at [email protected] and we'll include it in an upcoming edition! No matter how young or old, individual or family - we want to meet you!

SERVE ON THE PARISH COUNCIL |
Are you, or someone you know at Saint Peter's, interested in serving on the Parish Council?
Each summer, the Nominating Committee works to secure the names of congregational members interested in serving as a member of the Parish Council, usually for a full three year term. The Committee then emails a questionnaire to each person, and sets a time, usually in early September, for interviews. Please contact any member of the Committee with suggested names, including your own! They are Jack Anderson; Gloria Biegler; Dorothy Goldman; John Mostenan; and Watson Bosler, chair.
