Christ risen! Bread broken. Christ recognized. Eyes opened. Alleluia!
Dear faithful people of Saint Peter's:
I ended my 'jazz sermon" at the close of these marvelous three days with these words, "The road to Emmaus may be long and uncertain, but it is not always what it seems. In Christ, you see, we never walk that road alone." And before I close out this day and Saint Peter's Church closes for a day of rest, I wanted to send this message so that you would know, well in advance, all that is happening this coming week. More than that though, I wanted to invite you to join me in giving thanks to God for the marvelous people who led us and inspired our praise to God in these last days. Many of them (most of them) do this week after week. Please join my prayers of thanksgiving for each of these marvelous ministers, with you, of Saint Peter's Church:
Musicians:
Dr. Thomas Schmidt, Director of Music and Ike Sturm, Director of Music for Jazz
The Choir of Saint Peter's Church
Members of the Long Island Symphonic Choral Association
Jazz singers and song leaders: Chanda Rule, Misty Ann Sturm
