Come Join us for a Garden Party Friday, August 23rd at 8:15 am (after drop off) in the Lori Petrick Garden (behind the library). Enjoy refreshments and learn about the Discovery Garden curriculum while touring the garden. See what volunteering in the Garden is all about & meet your Discovery Garden Co-chairs, Lisa Taylor & Tracy Judah.

Dear Pali Families,

What a great first week of school. It is so nice to see you all again.
 
We wanted to take this opportunity to extend a special thank you to the many parents who worked over the summer to make our school great. Thanks to Tara Sizlo for helping training our teachers and aids in TRIBES, to the HR committee for all their time and dedication to select our wonderful staff, to Susan McInerney and her team for cleaning out the shed and to Lisa Taylor and Catalina Pernisco for cleaning out the kitchen.  We appreciate all you do for Pali.

We are still in need of volunteers in technology, website design, garden, salad bar, hospitality, parent outreach and much more. Please email us at pep@palielementary.org if you can help in any way.

Don't forget to bring your checkbooks tomorrow to our first assembly. Pali Wear and Green team will have their items for sale.

TB Testing
All Volunteers at Pali Elementary need to have a current TB test reading on files. Dr. Terri Rock has generously agreed to test all who need it following assembly on Monday - and she might still have space.  Sign up here if you need a test!

Governing Council and Committee Meetings
 Our school needs your input! The committees that govern our school need parent participation. Please consider attending the first committee meetings -

Thursday, August 22 at 2 p.m.  Committees in need of support include Curriculum, Technology, Safety and especially Parent Outreach.  Stop by the office to ask where the committee meetings will be held.

new PEP logo Get to Know PEP- Wednesday

Our "Get to know PEP" party will be Wednesday, August 21 after drop off (8:15-9:30am).  Get your TB test read and stop by for coffee and bagels.  Our first official PEP meeting is September 11th,

so please come learn a bit about our incredible organization and all of the opportunities there are to be involved at school.

Library Birthday Books

Our librarian Mrs. Jaffe is excited to announce The Birthday Book Club. This year in honor of your child's birthday, buy a book for the school library. A bookplate dedicated to your child will be put inside the cover page.

The book you choose from the Library Wish List will be a gift for all Pali students to enjoy for years to come.  You and your child can choose a book together here.  


Or you can buy Amazon scrip, give it to Mrs. Jaffe and she will choose a book in your child's honor.  THANK YOU for joining us in making our library the best for our kids!

Save for Book Ends in March

Please hold off making any personal book donations to the library at this time.  Mark your calendars to drop them off in MARCH for The Book Ends Book Drive.  Thanks for all efforts on behalf of our library!

The time has come to reserve your child's birthday greeting on the School Marquee.  Forms are located in the school office or here. Leave a completed request form  and a $30 check payable to PEP in the Marquee box in the school office.
