Computer Update from Teacher Val
During the first week of school all grade 1 through grade 4 classes will find themselves in the computer lab, and we can't wait to share their excitement when they find the lab equipped with the newest widescreen display iMac computers! Thanks to PEP donations and grants from the Riviera Lodge and American Legion, we have updated the eight year old computers in the lab. If you have a chance, be sure to stop by to see our new and improved lab!

Governing Council and Committee Meetings
Our school needs your input! The committees that govern our school need parent participation. Please consider attending the first committee meetings - Thursday, August 22 at 2 p.m. Committees in need of support include Curriculum, Technology, Saftey and especially Parent Outreach. Stop by the office to ask where the committee meetings will be held.

 TB Testing
All Volunteers at Pali Elementary need to have a current TB test reading on files. Dr. Terri Rock has generously agreed to test all who need it next Monday, August 19 after drop off for a $30 donation to PEP. Please sign up here.

 Get to Know PEP- Next Wed
Our "Get to know PEP" party will be Wednesday, August 21 after drop off (8:15-9:30am). Get your TB test read and stop by for coffee and bagels. Our first official PEP meeting is September 11th, so please come learn a bit about our incredible organization and all of the opportunities there are to be involved at school. PEP is you! |
Birthday Greetings 
The time has come to reserve your child's birthday greeting on the School Marquee. Forms are located in the school office or here. Leave a completed request form and a $30 check payable to PEP in the Marquee box in the school office.

What is PEP?
PEP is you! At Pali Elementary, we are committed to providing the best, well-rounded educational experience possible, and it shows. Our API test scores keep rising, making us one of the top schools in the state. Our children benefit from a wide array of programs not available at typical LAUSD schools including: smaller class sizes, extra classroom aides, computer lab, technology in the classroom, physical education, conflict resolution education, art, music, Discovery Garden classes, "Green Team," Learning Lab, and more
These programs are funded and/or sponsored by Palisades Enrichment Programs (PEP), Pali's parent-run organization that was started by parents to enhance our children's educational experience. We welcome you to PEP and hope that you will participate by volunteering, attending our monthly meetings, coming to school events, and more. The strength of our school community comes from our active and hands-on volunteer parent body and we would love to have you join us.
We are specially in need of volunteers for technology, garden, Magazine Drive, Pali-Wear and parent outreach. Please contact us if you can help in anyway at PEP@palielementary.org
