PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Parents, December 1, 2012
Coffee and Chat: This next Monday, December 3, there will be a Coffee and Chat with the Principal at 8:30 a.m. in the Library. We will begin right after the Monday morning assembly and speak about Transitional Kindergartens and other news.
Let the Season of Giving Continue: During the week of Dec 3 - 10 we will be collecting the following at Pali: new or gently used coats, sweatshirts, backpacks, indoor games, shoes and socks (please put all shoes in a large Ziploc bag, labeled with the size of the shoe). Collection boxes will be by the front office! This Holiday Drive is for the benefit of the students at Western Elementary.
Palisades Coordinating Council: Our next meeting will be Monday, December 10 at Paul Revere Middle School at 3:30 p.m. This is a group formed of parents, administrators and teachers from all the Palisades complex elementary schools, Paul Revere Middle School & Palisades High.
The Fourth Grade Holiday Boutique and Fundraiser: On Monday, December 10 after the morning assembly, please stop by the school Library for a cup of coffee and shop for holiday gifts! 20-40% of all proceeds will be going to support the Fourth Grade trip to Sacramento! The fabulous list of vendors include; La Vie Parisian Jewelry, Objects with Purpose Candles, Santa Baby Gift Collections, Mark and Steel adult clothing, Curio + Kind clothing for girls and Little Dudes Only clothing for boys. And don't forget to enter to win a gorgeous pair of La Vie Parisian Earrings and a Curio + Kind gift bag! Raffle tickets will be sold on the front steps before school all next week and the raffle will be drawn at the event! Ticket winners must
attend the event to win. Hope to see you all there!
Planning Ahead: STAR Winter Camp this year will be December 17-21 at Pali Elementary and the week of January 2-4 at Canyon Elementary. Attendance: Please consider this report when deciding when to begin and end your family's outings and trips. As you can see, we have not made the progress that we had hoped to see this year.

Mark Your Calendars and Get Ready to Spell! The Second Annual Pacific Palisades Spelling Bee has been scheduled for Sunday, February 24, 2013. Last year, Pali Elementary had an incredible showing at this community-wide event and we took home 4 of the 12 trophies awarded. Let's do it again!
