Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 2013 has been an incredible year for the One Life family as well as the business. Many milestones were made and lives changed. In March, I celebrated 10 years in practice! As cliche as it may sound, time flies when you are doing what you truly love. Over the past 10 years, I have been fortunate to pursue areas of study that I find intriguing as well as integral to true wellness care. I have met and trained under a select few experts who revolutionized our model of health and continue to dedicate their lives to the cause of educating the public that true health comes from an inside out model, meaning that there is no such thing as "a pill for an ill." I have worked with the most dedicated staff who teach by example and continue to reconfirm my passion for this work, supporting my efforts to grow the practice as well as reach into the community and educate. In April, I got married to Scott, the love of my life at a beautiful ocean side destination wedding in St. Lucia. This was a dream come true, more beautiful than I could have ever imagined and worth the wait! I am excited to add the responsibilities of being a wife to my resume. Frank and Amy both celebrated one year with One Life. Throughout much of their time with us, they shared the pregnancy and birth of their daughter, Lily. I was once again able to observe the miracle of a healthy and natural pregnancy and delivery - one of the most rewarding aspects of practice. Baby Lily is a gift and a true testament to the power of Chiropractic and Nutrition - an example that birth is and can be a beautiful experience. Applied Kinesiology and Nutrition Response Testing found a natural fit into the One Life model and with each came advances in patient progress that we couldn't have foreseen. Patients are reaching all new levels of vibrance and reporting improved contribution to and participation in all aspects of life. When interferences (toxins, food sensitivities, immune challenges, heavy metals, chemical poisons, negative self-talk, electromagnetic pollution) are removed from the body and critical nutrients are replaced, the body heals naturally. We are excitedly planning what is to come in 2014. We are developing strategies to overcome the challenges of Obamacare and dwindling insurance coverages. We have invested in new software and diagnostics to manage appointments, improve efficiency and add state of the art capability to the patient experience. While we might have to ask for your patience as we learn and incorporate new technology, we promise that it will be well worth it in the near future! In everything that we set out to accomplish in the coming year, we aim to 1. continue to reach out into the community with a renewed sense of what real health means and 2. provide compelling evidence to our patients that Chiropractic is a must for their personal health and the health of their families.
