We all know the effects of the harsh Arizona summer sun; this is particularly true for vulnerable homeless individuals and families. Tempe Community Council is conducting a water drive for Tempe's homeless providers. Please help provide heat relief for those in need. Water bottles and monetary donations are accepted throughout the summer during regular office hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30; excluding Memorial Day (May 27), Independence Day (7/4) and Labor Day (9/2).
Nominations are now open for the 2013 Don Carlos Humanitarian Awards.
If you know of an individual, or couple who has contributed significantly to the quality of life in Tempe, please consider completing a nomination form. Forms are available online or request via phone: 480.858.2307 or email.
giving makes us great

We have neighbors in need and we all have something to give. Together, we are creating a community that cares.
We proudly provided 1,114 people with Free Tax Preparation this year.
We helped people get over $2 million in federal and state tax refunds and 28 taxpayers used their tax refund to purchase over $7,200 in U.S. Savings bonds. We also referred several people to the Newtown Community Development Corporation which provides workshops for first-time homebuyers.
A big thank you to all of our volunteers that made this year's Free Tax Preparation a success! All in total, our volunteers donated over 4,500 hours of their time.
