The Big Rural Brainstorm
is almost here!
Please read this information to get ready.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE 2016 BRB

Get excited, because it's almost here! We are one week away from getting our brainstorming on.

What we'll be doing: Meeting people, thinking about our own civic engagement activities, practicing positive civic engagement, TAKING ACTION! to move our communities forward. We've designed the day around the topics you noted on the registration form. In other words: YOU have designed this day!

What you should bring: Good Thinking about your community. Good Thinking about Kansas. A willingness to participate in ways in which you feel comfortable (and a willingness to try new things!)

Be thinking of an issue that you really care about. Or even a topic. It can be personal or professional. We'll have some time to practice positive civic engagement around these things.

We know you are taking time away from work, your family, and your other commitments to join us. We want to make sure your day is worthwhile! Come prepared to take part in a meaningful way.

IF YOU CAN'T COME...

We have a waiting list.  Your last time to cancel and get a refund is Monday, Feb. 29 by noon.  E-mail wendee@kansassampler.org.

However, if you know later in the week that you aren't able to come, please contact us so we can give                                            someone else your seat.
SUNDAY NIGHT POT LUCK PLANS

Potluck information:
If you are coming in the night before, or live nearby, we'll be meeting for a Kansas food and drink potluck at the Holiday Inn Express around 5 p.m. on Sunday evening.

What does this mean? Bring a snack or a favorite drink to share with the group that is from Kansas or reminds you of Kansas. It will be informal and a great time to relax before the big brainstorm on Monday.

WHAT TO WEAR

Be comfortable! Jeans are definitely approved for brainstorming.
FOOD

What we'll be eating: We'll have plenty of snacks in addition to lunch. Brain food!
