Happy Monday to you all,
  d
I'm writing you from Liberal as we're about to do some guidebook research in southwest Kansas.  We've been to 67 counties now and continue to be moved and impressed with what we see in Kansas and who we meet. There are tough things, too, but that's the known stereotype or rural Kansas.

Many of you are part of the great things we see whether it's a jaw-dropping flower garden or a refreshing new type of business.  It really is the work at the grassroots level that makes the difference.

Just wanted to say you have our admiration for all of your work in the trenches.  See you down the road.   Marci and WenDee
Crowdfunding site for Kansas projects

Congratulations to Assaria!  They've reached their goal of over $13,000 for a project in their park.

Currently, the cities of Garden City, Frankfort, and Arvonia have projects in motion.  Take a look!

Your community, too, can put a project online!  And, you, can make a difference with even a small donation to one of the projects online.  Together,  we can strengthen Kansas communities!  wekansupport.com.

SUPPORT THE KANSAS SAMPLER FOUNDATION

The Kansas Sampler Foundation, a non-profit located near Inman, has always appreciated the annual support of communities and individuals statewide.

It's our privilege to be traveling the state and promoting communities, businesses and attractions through Facebook, e-blasts, and Kansas Explorer Club print newsletters as we prepare to publish the next Kansas Guidebook for Explorers.  The book itself will deliver widespread promotion, increase travel in Kansas, and help people learn to know and love our state.  There is no cost to be in the book.

Some numbers:  Just last week on the ERV Facebook page we had over 16,300 views for our posts in Clay and Riley counties.  More than 2,400 people clicked "like" on those posts.  In other words, the Facebook posts are bringing widespread and free promotion to those communities.

Here are some ways to support KSF while we support you:

Online Support Us (Note if you'd like your donation to be listed under a certain county.  Request receipt in comment section).

Research supporters are listed in Support Us and on the ERV blog.

Join the Kansas Explorers Club.

Send donation to Kansas Sampler Foundation, 978 Arapaho Road, Inman, KS  67546.

SAVE DATE:  Chris and John Hershberger will host the Artful Taste of Autumn at LaTorre near Inman on October 10.  $35 per person for wine and tapas pairings as well as to see (and option to buy) many art pieces.  The organization to benefit from the proceeds this year is the Kansas Sampler Foundation.  RSVP information to come in future e-blasts.
