GET "The Journal" AND DO SOME GOOD THINKING

The Journal is a first-class publication of the Kansas Leadership Center.  Edited by Chris Green, in-depth research is done on relevant topics.  The latest issue explores the connections between the arts and leadership in a number of different ways.  Chris says, "We hope the stories in this issue inspire more artistry in the practice of leadership, regardless of whether you, the reader, can draw, paint or sculpt."

Go here to see the various issues of The Journal. You can subscribe or read the issue online.

PUT A PROJECT ON WeKan!Support

Looking for donations from alumni or people who once lived in your town?  Maybe there are niche groups you can contact?  The We Kan! Network's crowdfunding site for Kansas community projects can make a difference for you.  If the project is good for a community, it's eligible for this site.  Social media skills and contacts of alumni are two things you'll most need.

Read all about it at wekansupport.com.

Take a look at the three current projects on the site.  Watch their video's, read their project descriptions, and make a donation to see how it all works -- AND, to help a fellow Kansas project.

What is needed most is the sharing of the site.  If you would, put wekansupport.com on your Facebook page and encourage your network to take a look.  Thanks!

ERV
ERV is currently in the shop getting fixed up.  A little rear-ender brought him to a halt temporarily.

If we haven't been to your county yet for guidebook research, you'll soon be seeing this flashy car from Midway Motors, McPherson all over your streets.

Though there is no charge to be in the guidebook, we are glad to receive any cash support for mileage, meals, or lodging.  Go to Support Us and see the cost estimate for the counties we have yet to visit.  Put your name or the name of your organization and we'll put that name beside the county.  When the book comes out you can feel like part of the team that made it happen!  Those who donate $500 or more will be listed in the book.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
TOURISM WEB SITES:
Is your site providing a first-class representation of your town and office?  Ask five people to look at your web site and offer feedback.  Some questions to consider:
1.  Is it easy to find your lodging and is the information up to date?
2.  If the tourism site is part of a larger site, is it easy to locate the information?
3.  Does your site have dining information?
4.  Is the information about the attractions appealing?
