STRENGTHENING OUR COURTS

N.J. Supreme Court considers Rules of Evidence at NJLRA's request

One of NJLRA's top priorities is to prompt the New Jersey Supreme Court to review our state's Rules of Evidence. At issue is whether the current Rules foster unclear rulings, and whether they attract out-of-state plaintiffs in a phenomenon known as 'litigation tourism.'

Defining goals for collaborative success

The rising cost of medical liability insurance continues to put New Jersey physicians at a disadvantage. Together with the New Jersey Hospital Association, NJLRA has lead an effort to unify the groups representing medical practitioners and insurers on policy priorities. Together we are changing the conversation in the Legislature about enacting meaningful and comprehensive medical liability reform.
