New Organizations, Features and Information Added to Portal

Portal Feedback Button

We've added a feedback button where users can quickly send a secure message to HealthInfoNet without leaving the portal. For example, if you see something that looks strange, suspect missing information, or the system isn't working how it should, use this new feature to tell us about it. Click the question mark in top right hand corner to access this feature. Note that this is for more general non-emergency items. If you need immediate assistance, please call our support line at 207-541-9250 and choose extension 3. Support is available 24 hours a day.

Link to Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) Portal

You'll see a new area called links on the bottom of the left hand menu where we've added a web link to the PMP portal. For now, you will still need to log in separately using your existing PMP username and password. We are working on a single sign-on solution and expect this to be functional later this year.

Notifications Enhancement

We've listened to your feedback and improved the notification sign up process. We created a new screen where you can see all the patients you've set up notifications for and easily add patients to the list. Simply type in your patient's MRN, select your organization from the drop down menu, include your relationship and click add. To delete, simply click the "x" button next to the patient name.

Multiple Diagnosis and Procedure Codes Now Displayed

Users can now see multiple diagnosis (Dx) and procedure (Px) codes in the Encounter/Visit History table on the Patient Summary screen. Hover your mouse over the Dx or Px code for an encounter and you'll see any additional codes listed in primary order.

New Connections

HIN has added several new provider organizations and data types to the HIE over the past few months. Additions include Calais Regional Hospital, Sebasticook Family Doctors, Health Access Network (formally view-only), and Millinocket Regional Hospital. Expanding the types of data they send to HIN were Houlton Regional Hospital, Downeast Community Hospital, St. Joseph Healthcare, and Mount Desert Island Hospital. Both Mercy Hospital and Pen Bay Medical Center will move from view-only to bi-directional in the month of January. There is also now over 3
00 ambulatory practices connected or view-only as well as a handful of long-term care and behavioral health facilities. HIN maintains an updated list of participants on our website.

If you have any questions about any of the above, please contact Todd Rogow, Director of IT at 207-541-9250 ext 202 or trogow@hinfonet.org.
