Evergreen Renovates Affordable Rental Community In Ronald Reagan's Boyhood Town Of Dixon, Ill

As part of its renovation of Dixon Square Apartments, Evergreen enhanced residences with updated kitchens and baths, and improved common areas, including an on-site playground and community garden.


Recognizing the growing need for affordable housing in communities small and large, Taylor Johnson client Evergreen Real Estate Group recently completed the $3.3 million renovation of Dixon Square Apartments, a 72-unit affordable rental community in Ronald Reagan's boyhood town of Dixon, Ill. In addition to improving residences and common areas, which had not been significantly updated since Dixon Square was built in 1980, Evergreen extended the community's Section 8 Housing Assistance Payment contract for an additional 20 years. Multi-Housing News covered the recent ribbon-cutting ceremony, detailing some of the changes that were made to enhance the livability and overall appearance of the community.
