Apartment Market Remains Healthy As The Majority Of Renters Stay Put

With new construction focused almost exclusively on the luxury market and rent increases across apartment buildings of all ages, nearly 60 percent of Chicago renters opted to renew their leases in April, well above the national long-term average of 40 percent, according to MPF Research. Taylor Johnson clients Luxury Living Chicago Realty, Kass Management and RMK Management recently discussed the findings with the Chicago Tribune, explaining how some renters are foregoing the latest and greatest amenities in an effort to maintain affordability.
