Suburban employers continued to set their sights on downtown Chicago in the first quarter of 2016, with Beam Suntory and Allstate among the latest companies to tap into the city's young talent pool. While millennials value the walkability provided by urban neighborhoods, a lifestyle that can be harder to replicate in the suburbs, high property taxes in collar counties like Lake County can also be a deterrent, as Brad Migdal, executive managing director at Taylor Johnson client Transwestern, recently told GlobeSt.com. With workers increasingly dictating where the jobs go, the fate of some suburban campuses remains in limbo.
