Congratulations to adaptive reuse expert and Taylor Johnson client FitzGerald Associates Architects, which was recently recognized by The Architect's Newspaper in its 3^rd Annual Best of Design Awards. The firm received an honorable mention in the category of Adaptive Reuse for its work on the $4.5 million renovation and historic preservation of the Stony Island Arts Bank. The project, which served as a primary venue during the Chicago Architecture Biennial, was a dilapidated former savings and loan on Chicago's south side that was rehabilitated into a neighborhood cultural center and art exhibition venue.
