A surge in digital entertainment jobs is fueling demand for rental housing in the heart of Tinseltown, and multifamily developers and investors from across the country are getting in on the action. Among them: Taylor Johnson client Waterton, which recently acquired Vida Hollywood, a 345-unit rental community a half-block north of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The acquisition expands Waterton's California portfolio to seven communities comprising nearly 1,800 units.
