When Taylor Johnson client HSA Commercial Real Estate heard Whole Foods was looking to open a second location in the Milwaukee market, it knew it would be the perfect addition to The Mayfair Collection, its new retail development in west suburban Wauwatosa. But first HSA had to sell the grocery chain on the location - about 10 miles west of downtown Milwaukee. Tim Blum, vice president of retail at HSA, recently described the pitching process to Midwest Real Estate News, explaining why grocery stores are often the "belle of the ball" for retail centers.
