This Wilmette residence was the fifth "dream home" husband-wife team Fred Wilson and Elissa Morgante, co-principals of Morgante Wilson Architects, designed together for themselves.
If you were ever curious what the homes of architects and interior designers might look like, check out Dennis Rodkin's segment from FOX 32 News last week on the Wilmette residence of Taylor Johnson clients and husband-wife team Fred Wilson and Elissa Morgante, co-principals of Morgante Wilson Architects. Currently on the market, this home is the couple's fifth residence they've designed together for themselves - and yes, they're currently working on number six. Like this home, most of Morgante Wilson's work is in the private residential sector, but two of the firm's recent interior design commercial projects are open for tours - E2, a luxury apartment tower in downtown Evanston by Fifield Cos. that opened last month, and Frank Lloyd Wright's Emil Bach House, a private event space and vacation rental in Rogers Park.
