It's estimated that 70 percent of U.S. workplaces have adopted open-plan offices, but recent studies, including one from global office furniture company Steelcase Inc., indicate that workplaces with no or low partitions between employees may not be achieving their desired effects. Drawing on its own experience in the market, Taylor Johnson client Amata Office Solutions used the Steelcase report to dispel some common open-office myths in a piece for the Huffington Post, explaining why it's important for employers to offer a mix of individual and collaborative workspaces.
