The City of Chicago is preparing dramatic changes in the Affordable Requirements Ordinance (ARO) that could stall or halt future multifamily residential development. The multifamily rental and for-sale projects are facing potential ARO "in lieu fee" increases of 75 to 125 percent and other mandates, which could force cancellation of many development projects. These proposals could harm future development and have a very negative economic impact on Chicago jobs, companies, neighborhoods and property taxes. If development is stalled, it will impact everyone and every company involved with multifamily construction and development.

Please join the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago (HBAGC) City Chapter this Wednesday, Dec. 3 to learn how you can help protect the multifamily industry from these drastic changes.
