It is five years into the Chicago apartment boom and the market shows no signs of slowing. According to a recent Crain's Chicago Business story, occupancy and rents are still climbing and apartment landlords are riding high. Crain's caught up with Taylor Johnson client Fifield Cos. and highlighted the developer's Class A luxury apartment tower K2, where the median age for residents has increased to 32 as many would-be homeowners continue to opt for renting.
