If you haven't read the Crain's article about the city's revived idea of forcing developers to include below-market-rate units in exchange for zoning approval of new residential structures, click here. Then, click here to register for a May 6th fundraiser to help fight the ordinance.  At the event, Paul Cogan and other members of the architectural, development and finance industry will analyze how the proposed affordable housing bill will increase the affordable housing "fee" costs by 300% to 500% on future residential projects.  They will also offer solutions to be communicated to the city on how to amend the affordable housing ordinance to encourage its development without shutting down new residential construction.
