Some of my fondest memories of working with my mother were our pilgrimages to the International Builders' Show.  Bumping into clients and colleagues, seeing the latest in products and design, attending educational seminars - all in an effort to meet new people, generate ideas and have a little mother-daughter fun.

I hadn't been to "The Show" in years...until recently when EDGEhome hired Taylor Johnson to help launch its new home intelligence and energy monitoring system at IBS.  The positive vibe from the show was undeniable.  More than 75,000 attendees and 1,600 exhibitors were engaged and excited about the future of the homebuilding industry.

Although my time was mostly consumed with networking
 - making introductions between EDGEhome, builders and press - we did still manage to have some fun, especially at the Wells Fargo after-party.  Thanks for the invite, Jim Colella! 

But the real highlight of my IBS junket was the overwhelmingly positive response to EDGEhome, the only home automation system that also monitors and manages energy consumption. The booth was buzzing and EDGEhome was even named one of the five hottest products at the show. Congratulations to the EDGEhome team on a successful product launch - and thanks for the experience!
