Sales Of New Homes Rise, But Market Still A 'Quagmire'

The local new-home market continues to rebound, with the latest report from Tracy Cross & Associates showing new-home sales in 2013 are on track to top last year's total by 20 percent. Taylor Johnson client Brian Brunhofer, president of Meritus Homes, shared his outlook on the recovery in this Crain's feature, pointing to speculator involvement in land deals as a positive sign of new development to come.
