Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced two major redevelopments on Tuesday. First, he provided details for the 10,000-seat DePaul basketball arena development near McCormick Place, which will also host smaller conferences, meetings, concerts and other sporting events. Next, he announced the first phase of the Navy Pier redevelopment, which is slated to include a new park, bicycle flyover, expanded Children's Museum, and 54,000 square feet of new dining and entertainment space.
