We always like to share good news. As we begin the 4th quarter, we thought you would want to know that the Firm and several of its lawyers have been singled out for special recognition as being tops in their field by the American Bar Association, the prestigious Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers publications, Forbes magazine and the Los Angeles Daily Journal legal newspaper. In addition, several of our lawyers have been appointed to prestigious leadership positions in various Bar Association another organizations.

Boutique firms are those that confine their practice to one particular area of the law. Clients prefer boutiques for their deep concentration and expertise in an area of the law. Since its founding in 1986, Ballard Rosenberg Golper & Savitt, LLP has done only one thing: management side labor/employment law. The Los Angeles Daily Journal legal newspaper recently recognized the firm's prominence in the field by selecting it to its list of southern California Top Boutique law firms.

BLACK BOOK
For the first time ever, Forbes magazine has created a select list of top US law firms to be included in the Forbes Legal Black Book. Ballard Rosenberg Golper and Savitt, LLP has made the 2014 list. Forbes will be publishing special Legal Black Book sections in the most widely read issues of Forbes, with a special issue focused on labor and employment law at the end of 2014. Forbes magazine is the only national business publication featuring a law firm section on labor and employment law.
2015 BEST LAWYERS IN AMERICA
Best Lawyers in America is the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession. A listing in Best Lawyers is widely regarded by legal professionals as a significant honor, conferred on a lawyer by his or her peers. These lists are compiled by conducting exhaustive peer-review surveys in which tens of thousands of leading lawyers confidentially evaluate their professional peers.
For 2015, Best Lawyers in America just announced two very significant honors for Ballard Rosenberg Golper and Savitt, LLP. First, partner Linda Miller Savitt was named a Los Angeles area 2015 Lawyer of the Year (Labor/Employment Law). That honor was bestowed upon partner Kenneth Ballard in 2014. In addition, founding partners Kenneth Ballard, Richard Rosenberg and John Golper have once again been included in the 2015 edition of Best Lawyers in America (Labor Law/Management; Employment Law/Management and Litigation/Labor & Employment). For John, it was his 13th consecutive year and the 9th consecutive year for Ken and Richard.

LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT LAWYERS
The ABA College of Labor and Employment Lawyers has elected name partner Linda Miller Savitt as a newly elected Fellow. Election as a Fellow is the highest recognition by one's colleagues of sustained outstanding performance in the profession, exemplifying integrity, dedication and excellence. Fellows have distinguished themselves as leaders in the field. We offer our warmest congratulations to Linda on receiving this very high honor.
2014 CALIFORNIA SUPER LAWYERS LIST
Several of the firm's partners, senior counsel and associates have been recognized as tops in the field of labor/employment law by being included on this year's southern California Super Lawyers list. Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business publication, is a service that rates lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. We are especially pleased to be included on this list because no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are selected for inclusion on the Super Lawyers list.
This year's southern California Super Lawyers list once again includes partners Ken Ballard, Richard Rosenberg, John Golper, Linda Miller Savitt and Eric Schwettmann. Our name partners have been included on this list every year since the inception of the ranking twelve years ago.
In addition, for the third year in a row, Super Lawyers honored partner Linda Miller Savitt by also including Linda on its list of Top 100 California Attorneys and Top 50 Women Lawyers.
This year's Super Lawyer Super Lawyer list also includes Senior Counsel and appellate specialist Christine Hoeffner and Senior Counsel Katherine Hren. Christine has been on the list since 2008. Christine is a Certified Appellate Specialist who has held this prestigious designation ever since the State Bar first recognized appellate law as a specialty practice in 1996. Katherine has been included on the Super Lawyer list since 2006 as a "Rising Star" (under age 40).
New to the list this year is associate Stephanie Kantor, who was included as a "Rising Star" Super Lawyer (under age 40).
