See if Our Revised Grant Guidelines Fit Your Nonprofit
We have revised our Community Grant guidelines so we can help you in the great work you do. Be sure to thoroughly read the new guidelines to see how they fit your organizational goals. Please also plan to come to a training program to learn more (training detail
s are in next article).

Here are a few changes to our grant guidelines:
  • Category names are different (e.g. "Health & Human Services" was separated to become "Health & Wellness", and "Economic Stability").
  • There are specific Desired Outcomes included for each category.
  • The age range for Environmental program grants was expanded to include elementary students
  • There is an opportunity to request funds for programs that support healthy behaviors to reduce people's chronic disease
"With these revised grantmaking guidelines, we better define the outcomes that we expect for our community grant program," says Deborah M. DiCroce, Hampton Roads Community Foundation president and CEO. "And, we have renamed our funding areas to reflect a more contemporary nomenclature for describing the grant program itself."
