One year into my position at NCC Group (formerly Escrow Associates), I was approached by our CEO about getting more involved in the Atlanta technology community. As a result of our conversation, he highly recommended Conexx (AICC at the time) and supported my membership and involvement with the organization.
Being heavily focused on technology transactions through source code/technology escrow, he accurately assumed that Conexx would give me exposure to a variety of industry topics as well as connections to startup companies with which we could form mutualistic partnerships.
Within the year, I became part of the Conexx family, feeling strongly about the organization's purpose. Soon, I volunteered as a committee member for the annual Eagle Star Gala, which allowed me to be actively involved in working with other members as well as some of the most successful companies each year which were being considered for various awards.
Over the past year, I have taken a promotion which has brought with it changes in responsibilities and focus on cloud solutions. However, Conexx still remains a permanent fixture in my network. Through my involvement, I have learned about cutting edge technology from budding companies, educated myself about industry changes, forged invaluable partnerships and sharpened my networking skills. I will continue to be a devoted member into the foreseeable future.

Conexx Inaugural Golf Tournament
|
The 1st Annual Conexx Golf Tournament "Clean on the Greens" was held on Monday, November 3rd. In partnership with presenting sponsor Toyota, the tournament highlighted the green technology industry in recognition of the efforts that companies like Toyota are making to be environmentally responsible and in honor of Israel recently being recognized as the world leader in clean technology innovation.
"Through my relationship with Conexx, I've come to appreciate how it's a win/win/win organization - for Israel, for the local economy, and for its members. I also have come to realize how much more Conexx could do with just a few more resources. That's why I volunteered to chair the first annual Conexx golf tournament and why I got my good friends at Toyota to come on board as our presenting sponsor" said tournament Chair Jan Williams.
