The Bridge is a unique commercialization program for startups, acting as a bridge between the Israel Startup Community and the US Commercial Market.

The program lasts for six months in total and is looking for young early stage or growth companies with a solution that could fit one of five core themes: Consumer Engagement, Consumer Retail, Supply Chain, Marketing Innovation and Health & Wellness.

In addition, Coca-Cola is partnering with a number of leading technology companies and Investors providing access to their products & services for startups in the program, forming a partnership to help the development and ongoing operations of The Bridge.

Members' Corner
William Lee
Atlanta, GA
After graduating from the University of Georgia in the summer of 2007, I began my career as an analyst with Applied Economics, and within a few months I was attending conexx's annual Professional Seminar. I have found that the Chamber (as it was formerly known) is a great place to develop professional relationships and friendships. To this day, I still connect with people I met at my first professional seminar.

The firm's founder, Michael Beeghley, initially joined the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce in 2002 because it was important to his clients. What he found, though, was that it was the first organization he was involved with that actually accomplished something. In fact, his experience meeting Israeli entrepreneurs and learning about Israel has resulted in his participation in developing a multi-faceted joint venture between the University of Georgia and the University of Haifa as a board member of UGA's College of Public Health.

Applied Economics is a financial advisory firm specializing in corporate finance and business valuation. As a member and sponsor since 2002, we have found the networking opportunities and strong relationships provided by conexx to be essential to our success within the Atlanta community.

As a Director with Applied Economics, I am now tasked with overseeing the firm's transfer pricing practice. We advise clients on their cross-border, intercompany transactions for tax purposes. Many of our clients are U.S. subsidiaries of foreign-owned corporations. conexx provides an excellent forum for us to interact with Israeli corporations in this area.

As with everything in life, you get out what you put in. Get involved with conexx and the benefits will follow!
