Your prayer saved us

We've had messages of concern from Partners following the devastation of Cyclone Ian in Tonga a few days ago. Thank you for your prayers and your messages.
We praise the Lord that the worst of the storm passed by Tongatapu (Tonga's main Island) where we have the radio station.
- Staff and families are ok. (Although many have relatives on Ha'apai, Tonga's worst affected Island group.)
- Our radio station building was not damaged. (We are working towards replacing our old wooden building which will not survive another 'direct hit' from a cyclone.)
- The Antenna and tower was not damaged. (Standing 100 feet high, this is one of the tallest things on the island, and high winds are always a concern.)
Each time I hear of a cyclone, I have a vivid memory from one several years ago. I was phoning Willy (station manager) and struggled to hear him over the wind noise. I remember him shouting something like, "The storm is passing. The tower stands up. And so does our studio. Prayer saved us. Praise the Lord!"

In a region that is hit by several cyclones each year . . .
On an Island that is entirely flat . . .
We are very thankful for your prayers, and to the Lord for answering them and keeping our staff and the radio station safe.
(And Tina at Gud Nius FM on Guadalcanal tells me they haven't experienced any big storms yet in the Solomon Islands this season - yet!)
Please keep us in your prayers
because the cyclone season doesn't end until Easter.
Thank you for your . . . Prayer that saved us!
May God bless you.
