Stepping up and stepping out under the Lordship of Jesus Christ

Local disciples make more disciples according to 2 Timothy 2:2
|
As people discover what it really means to live under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, they start to think very differently about every aspect of their lives. And the people around them start to think differently about them, too.
More and more, our maturing disciples are finding themselves in leadership roles within their churches and communities. Some even want to become missionaries and serve the Lord overseas.
How is Pacific Partners going to help them step up to these opportunities and goals?
Our discipleship training is mostly 'hands-on' and practical. It's like an apprenticeship where the junior works and learns alongside a more experienced person. Most of our class room teaching is responsive to real life ministry challenges - we dig into God's word together, finding His answers to situations as we come across them.
|
People are already serving Jesus before we give them any class-room training
|
So Loni, Willy and I are challenged to help local people grow into greater leadership and ministry roles in the Kingdom of God.
How we do this will determine the way we use the new radio/training/accommodation building. Which means we have to think carefully about the layout.

| The first 40 foot container stands in Auckland ready to be shipped to Tonga |
Several people have made financial gifts towards the cost of shipping our first 40' container of donated building materials to Tonga.
So far we have received over half the USD $5000 (NZD $6000) needed for shipping.
Thank you very much!
We will postpone shipping the container until next year, because . . .
(1) We don't yet have all the money we need
(2) Our Tonga staff take annual leave until February
(3) The materials will remain in better condition stored in NZ
Thank you to
Passion Produce (Hobsonville Rd, Auckland) for looking after our container so far.
The owner of Passion Produce wants his over-flow customer car park for his Christmas shoppers. So this week we are moving the container to a new site in Auckland.
