As you can see from the accompanying photos, things have been extremely busy over the last few months. Between nilgai antelope, aoudad sheep, spring turkey, and various other exotics, we have had a steady flow of clients coming through our camps. We are getting ready to wind down most of our scheduled spring hunts, but we'll have a steady trickle of exotic game hunts going on over the next few months.

We've continued to receive some great rainfall over much of the state and we are enjoying one of the best springs in several years. Things are shaping up for our whitetails to have the best start for antlers since 2010 and our nesting cover for quail and turkeys is simply outstanding in many areas of the state right now. We have the makings of having a banner wildlife year.

Also, as you'll see below, we have a great 5800 acre lease available near Barnhart and might have another large property available, as well. Please let us know if you have a group that may be interested in a good year-around hunting lease.

Year Round Hunting Lease

Located south of Barnhart, in northern Crockett County, we have approximately 5800 acres that is available for a year-around lease. This property features a large population of white-tailed deer, along with quail, dove, and a few turkeys. The terrain is flat to rolling hills, with moderate to thick brushy cover which is predominated by mesquite and other secondary brush species. A nice house is included with the lease that has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, dining room, living room, enclosed front porch, as well as an enclosed storage area. Price of lease is $6.00 per acre. There is a maximum quality buck harvest of 9 bucks and the doe harvest quota will be determined at a later time, but will likely be in the 20-25 doe range. Please inquire for further details.
