It's amazing how conditions can change out here on the edge of the desert. Recent, timely rains over much of the state have created a beautiful sea of greenery in many areas of Texas. Range conditions are about as lush as you'll ever see in this part of the world, especially for this time of the year. These conditions are great for the range and great for wildlife, and will bode well for the health of game animals as we move forward in time. The double edge of these favorable circumstances is that it can create challenging hunting conditions. Animals simply do not have to cover as much ground or move as often to make a living.
Even though hunting conditions are a bit tuff right now, our WSI hunts are still yielding some favorable outcomes, for the most part. We anticipate that as we move forward into the season, getting into some rutting activities, as well as experiencing some colder weather, our hunting conditions will become more favorable for the hunter.
Thank you for taking the time to peruse this issue of our WSI Play By Play. We look forward to keeping you apprised with other results from the various hunts that we are hosting now and in the near future.
Cheers,
Your Friends at WSI
