"Serving Hunters' & Landowners' Needs Since 1987"

25th Anniversary

November 20, 2012

Thank you for taking the time to review this latest edition of our WSI Photo Play By Play Hunt Report. Our Springer Ranch results are reflective of that area being one of the driest areas of the state this year, but none the less, we took some very nice deer. We ended up losing a few really good bucks, and also saw a few exceptional deer during the latter portion of our last group while the hunt was wrapping up.

Our O Cross Ranch hunt with the Williard family proved to be a success, and you'll see three of the photos below from their hunt, less Zach Williard's photo which we have yet to receive from one of our guides. It's always good to see some family outings, nurturing the recruitment of new hunters getting involved.

As you'll also see below, we continue to have some exotic hunters coming into our camps as we move through our fall schedule.  And lastly, WSI owner Greg Simons, was able to sneak in some rare personal hunting for him, and collected a slammer of a whitetail and mule deer on the same day on a private hunting lease that he shares with some friends up in the Panhandle. Are these perhaps the largest aggregate total of scores on a whitetail and mule deer on low fenced country in Texas taken on the same day or perhaps even during the same season in the modern era? Maybe not, but a good birthday present, none the less!

We hope that each of you and your families have a great and safe Thanksgiving week.

Cheers,

Your Friends at WSI

WSI owner, Greg Simons, took a busman's holiday and enjoyed an incredible day of hunting on his personal lease in the Texas Panhandle.  The mule deer and whitetail had an amazing aggregate gross score of almost 380", both taken on Simons'  birthday!

This property, located 7 miles north of Cisco, is on the edge of the Rolling Plains and Cross Timbers & Prairies regions of Texas.  This is a very scenic ranch with prime whitetail hunting. On our last hunt we had 2 brothers, Glen & Steve Williard, that brought their kids to hunt with them.  Check out the pictures below.

In the midst of all of our whitetail hunt's, we still have some exotic hunts going on at the Yturria Ranch.  Check out these photos below.

The 21,000 acre Springer Ranch produces some really nice whitetails. In addition to the bucks taken below, we also lost a high great archery buck, as well as a 150" class buck that we cound not recover. In addition to these whitetails, hunters can expect to see a plethora of rio grande turkey, feral hogs, and coyotes.

Bob Custer brought his dad out to hunt with us again and this is what he had to say about his hunt, "I want to thank you for another great hunt at the Springer.  I especially want to thank you for the special consideration shown to my father.   Ruben, Jackie & Trey were super as usual.  Once again thanks for the memories".

Art Deneke had this to say about his hunt, "Just wanted to say thanks to Wildlife Systems for a great hunt again this year.   Ruben ran a great hunt and camp and Trey is amazing with his ability to put delicious and interesting (in a good way) food on the table.  My hunt last year and this year were as about different as they could be except for them both being a great time, with great people and ending up with a great deer.  Thanks for everything you and your people do."
