Susan cafe 1
Susan Weis-Bohlen proprietress, breathe bookstore cafe

Greetings!

Just wanted to let you know about a few fun things to do this weekend at breathe!

The vision of Teavine creator James Henry, was to bring the nectar of the gods to the people and to change the liquor industry to be more conscious of what they put in their products. James, who will be here on Saturday from 10 am - 2 pm believes in sourcing the highest quality ingredients and creating innovative ways to pack as much Green tea into our days and evenings as possible.

James will also be signing copies of his book Mind Your Manners: George Washington's Rules of Civility & The Laws of Love

And on Sunday meet Jaclyn Ceesy, owner of Blu Papaya. Jaclyn will be showcasing some of her luscious hand-made shea butter products. Shea butter is a skin super food that delivers extraordinary nourishment and hydration. She uses only unrefined shea butter in her products like Rosemary Citrus, Fleur Citrus and Eucalyptus Tea Tree skincare. Jaclyn will be here sampling and selling her creams on Sunday from 12 pm - 4 pm (weather permitting!)

On Wednesday our friend Dawne Allette is leading a really fun workshop - Happy Old Year! Take a look at last year's resolutions and see what you might want to bring forward to 2014. If you like to laugh, this workshop is for you! And it's free!

So the weather people say we might get some interesting stuff on Sunday -- which is also the day for the Hampden Christmas Parade

-- 1 pm - 5 pm. Give us a call if there is a question as to whether or not we are here -- 410-235-READ (7323). But those weather folks have been wrong once or twice! Maybe it will be a nice sunny day!

Come by for a hot chocolate or a homemade chai while you shop! Our food has received high praise on Urban Spoon and Yelp! and in the Baltimore Sun. Come see for yourself!

Stay warm. See you soon,

love and peace and all that holiday good cheer!

Susan

* Instead of an Ella and Shadow picture of the week, I wanted to acknowledge that today marks five years to the date that I met Larry. Did you know we met right here at breathe books? Larry walked in the door on Sunday, December 6, 2008 at about 1 pm, and our destiny was sealed -- a match made in breathe books (and probably heaven, too)! One year to the day we met, Larry asked me to marry him. Now we have been married over three years! So come on in and hang out here for a while! You might just meet the person of your dreams...
