As we celebrate our 12th birthday, here are
Reasons #10, #11 and #12 To Love Barracks Row Main Street:

#10 - Our Garden Party - This lovely springtime fundraising event has expandedGuests at Oyster Bar dramatically over the years. Last year it was held at the famous Deer House on East Capitol Street. With perfect weather, the crowd had the opportunity to meet four Barracks Row chefs, sample their best dishes and listen to cool jazz and a rousing performance by the Georgetown Chimes. This year the Garden Party will be on Thursday, June 8th. Invitations are sent by email. We hope you'll join the fun. Your support makes our work possible.

#11- Our new businesses: in 2011 eleven new businesses opened on 8th Street, SE: President Obama with Ted's Bulletin Staff

You can literally feel the surge of excitement on the street every day.  And how about 2012? Not official yet, but early estimates indicate twelve new businesses will open!
