Father's Day Carnations

Father's Day is June 16th.

On Sunday morning, June 9th, the ladies of the United Methodist Women will be taking orders for red and white carnations. Remember your fathers and honor your loved ones. Proceeds benefit local missions.

Cost: $1.50 per carnation

 Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl Ministry will be adjusting its meeting schedule for the summer. The Wednesday evening group will not meet again until August 14th. The Tuesday morning group will continue to meet until June 18th and will resume on August 20th. 

 Campground Fundraiser

Help support our wonderful Campground! FUMC seat cushions will be on sale in the Welcome Center on Sunday mornings until the start of Campmeeting on June 23rd.

Supply is limited. The cushions are great for the benches in the Campground Arbor.

Ordination Reception

Everyone is invited to attend the Ordination Service and a Reception afterwards for Allen Hoskyn, Andrew Erwin, and Brent Bohanan on Tuesday, June 11th.

The service will take place at the Classic Center in Athens (300 N. Thomas Street). Please arrive no later than 7:15 pm. Dress is semi-formal or Sunday church-style.

The reception will be at the Hilton Garden Inn, Dogwood Room, in Athens (directly across the street). It will be from 9-11:00 pm.

We Need Umbrellas!

The Georgia Dental Association will be providing free access to dental care for over 2,000 low- and no-income adults from June 13-16. Those seeking care will be waiting outside in the sun or rain.

We would like to collect umbrellas they can use while they wait. Please drop off new/used umbrellas in the Welcome Center through June 9th. Visit the website below to learn more about volunteering.

Kids Crossing Learning Center is now enrolling for our Half Day Preschool for the 2013-2014 school year.

Half Day classes are available for ages 2 - PreK. Full Day Kindergarten also available. Please contact the KCLC Front Desk for more information.

MUST Ministry Lunches 
MUST ministries
Again this summer, the church will be partnering with MUST Ministries to help with their summer lunch program. We will help provide daily lunches to local children in need.

We need donations of these items:
  • Individually packaged snacks (salty & sweet)
  • Juice boxes
  • Ziploc sandwich bags

Donation bins are located in the Welcome Center. We will also need volunteers to help pack lunches and drivers to deliver them Mon-Fri all summer. Contact Carlene to help!
