Card Shower for Davis
We're showering Davis with our prayers and good wishes as he leaves his position as senior pastor at FUMC! If you would like to send a card to Davis and Sherre with a personal message, baskets will be placed at the Welcome Center each Sunday through June 9th (Davis' last day here). The cards will be collected and given to them at their farewell reception on June 9th.

Young Adult Ministry
All young adults are invited to join us at our upcoming events. Our first worship service will be on Sunday evening, June 2nd, at 6 pm in The Warehouse. On June 4th, we will go to the Stone Mountain Laser Show. We'll meet at 6 pm by The Warehouse.

Paper Goods Drive
We are collecting paper goods for Campmeeting, June 23rd - 27th. Please consider donating a few of these needed items: - dinner plates
- dessert plates
- cold cups (Solo-type)
- hot cups (styrofoam)
Donations can be dropped off in the Welcome Center.

Father's Day Carnations
Father's Day is June 16th. On Sunday mornings, until June 9th, the ladies of the United Methodist Women will be taking orders for red and white carnations in the Family Center. Remember your fathers and honor your loved ones. Proceeds benefit local missions. Cost: $1.50 per carnation

Prayer Shawl Ministry
The Prayer Shawl Ministry will be adjusting its meeting schedule for the summer. The Wednesday evening group will not meet again until August 14th. The Tuesday morning group will continue to meet until June 18th and will resume on August 20th.

Men's Breakfast
Men of all ages are invited to our next breakfast on Sunday, June 9th, at 6:45 am in the Family Center. Smitty Thomas, former United Methodist President, will be speaking about "Change..." Come feed your soul on the Bread of Life and enjoy a hearty breakfast!

Pool Noodles Needed
The Children's Ministry is in need of pool noodles to decorate for VBX. If you have pool noodles that we may borrow, please contact us. We will return them after VBX, which is June 3rd-7th. Just be sure to put your name on one end of the noodle.

Prayer Walk
Our next Lawrenceville Prayer Walk is Saturday, June 1st.
We will meet at the gazebo on the square at 2 pm. We will walk to area businesses, revisiting some and visiting others for the first time, to introduce ourselves and learn how we can pray for them. Everyone is invited to join us!

The next LEAP job networking meeting is Wednesday, June 5th, in Room 300 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.
Come hear our speaker for the evening: Deb Krier, the SociaLight, will speak on "Locked On to LinkedIn: How to build a high-profile profile." Networking activities will follow, so bring plenty of business cards.

We Need Umbrellas!
The Georgia Dental Association will be providing free access to dental care for over 2,000 low- and no-income adults from June 13-16. Those seeking care will be waiting outside in the sun or rain. We would like to collect umbrellas they can use while they wait. Please drop off new/used umbrellas in the Welcome Center through June 9th. Visit the website below to learn more about volunteering.

Street Grace Class
Street Grace is sponsoring the Essentials of DMST (Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking) class for concerned citizens who want to work against the problem of commercial exploitation of children. The class is scheduled for June 13th from 6:30 - 9:30 pm in Room 300. It's filling up quickly, so don't delay!

Please consider making a donation to support the relief efforts following the recent tornado in Oklahoma.
