  Lenten Offering Reminder

Our Lenten Purple Bag offering collected at Easter this year benefited Family Promise. If you were not able to return your offering bag on Easter, there is still time to turn it in. The offering baskets are at the front altar rail in the Sanctuary and they will be there through Sunday, April 21st.

We are close to reaching our goal of $5000. If you do not have a bag but would like to contribute, checks may be made to Lawrenceville FUMC and marked Family Promise Offering. Thank you for your support.

Would you like to purchase a red carnation in honor of your mom, a friend or a loved one? Or a white carnation in memory of a friend or loved one?

Sales begin on Sunday morning, April 21st, and continue through Sunday, May 5th in the Family Center. Proceeds benefit local missions through the United Methodist Women.

Cost: $1.50 each

 Golf Tournament
LAP
Sponsors, players and volunteers are invited to a golf tournament benefiting LAP, the Lawrenceville Assistance Project. The tournament will be May 3rd at The Chimney's Golf Club in Winder.

Sign up in the Family Center on Sundays, April 21st & 28th.

Cost: $70 per person
- Includes green & cart fees, driving range balls & lunch after the round

AARP Driver Safety
AARP
Our next driver safety class will be April 30th & May 2nd. Attendance is required on both days.

This class addresses the needs of senior adult drivers and completion may result in substantial discounts on insurance premiums. To register, contact Nancy Ford.

Church Library Inventory

We will be conducting an inventory of the church library at the beginning of May.

If you currently have any books checked out, please return them by April 30th so that we may get an accurate inventory.

Staff Development
Join us on either May 1st or 2nd for an Adult Sunday School teacher and Small Group leader training. This is a meeting for all representatives, leaders, or teachers from Sunday School classes, UMM, UMW, Journey groups, women's groups, men's groups, Disciple Bible Study, and other small groups.

We will be sharing important information about curriculum and upcoming events for Fall 2013. Contact Lisa to register for either session.

CPR/AED/First Aid 
CPR First Aid
Our next CPR/AED/First Aid class will be May 4th from 9 am - 1 pm in Room 336-338.

This course provides certification in CPR, First Aid, and the use of AED devices. To register, contact Nancy Ford.

 Memorials Scholarship

The Memorials Committee is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2013-2014 school year.

Applications are available in the Warehouse and Church Office. All applications and supporting documentation are due by May 31st.

If you are interested in helping support the scholarship fund, please mark your donation for the "Memorials Scholarship Fund."

We are beginning to collect paper goods for Campmeeting, June 23rd - 27th. Please consider donating the item needed this week. Donations can be dropped off in the Welcome Center.

This Sunday, April 21st, we are collecting 2,000 dinner plates.

The Co-Op Concert

Everyone is invited to attend The Co-Op Concert on Friday, April 19th, at 8 pm at McKendree UMC on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road.

The concert will feature the Peachtree Symphonic Winds & Peachtree Band of Jazz. All canned goods and donations will support the Lawrenceville Co-Op's food bank.

Prayer on the Square Lawrenceville
The National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 2nd.
