Softball Tournament at Braddock
 Park
Monday,
Nov. 2nd, at 6:45.

Don't forget to change your clocks on Saturday night!

We are looking for about 10 folks with cars or golf carts to help Club G-3 tonight at Trunk or Treat!

Unfortunately we discovered that many of the COW classes are over and we already promised trick or treating to the children of G-3 so we thought this would be a great way to start this tradition back up.

We are talking about a SIMPLE Trunk or Treat.  All you need to do is come park in the Fellowship Hall parking lot by 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday night and be ready to hand out candy to some of the cutest Methodist children you have ever seen!!  If you'd like to decorate your car or golf cart we'd love it but please don't let that stop you from helping make this a fun evening for our Children's Ministry program.

If you'd like to come have fun with us and bring your vehicle please reply back to [email protected] so we know to look for you.

Thank you for helping to make this last minute TRICK a fun TREAT for our kiddos!!!

Dinner featuring a Taco Bar, Enchiladas, Chips & Salsa,
Beans & Rice, Dessert and Beverages will be provided.

  • Silent Auction Fundraiser
    for Youth Missions
  • Get-Away Weekends

Financial Stewardship

What information do our members and attendees
want to know about the Church Finances?

At a recent Finance Committee meeting we were having a general discussion on this subject when one member offered up that until she was on the Finance Committee she really knew very little about the finances of the church and did not have a clue about how much it cost to operate the Church.  Other comments centered on perhaps we need to do a better job of sharing information about the finances of the church.
As our Church Business Manager and Treasurer I can honestly say there are many times when I wish I did not know.

What the Church represents to all of us is not about money and yet as we all know we must keep the Church financially secure.  I have some ideas on church finances that I can share through our newsletter and will do so.

However, as stated in my opening sentence, what would you like to know?
What's on your mind?
Would you be willing to take the time to send me an email with your thoughts and questions?
Would you like to know how many of our church families give on a regular basis?
You see the weekly and monthly giving report in the Sunday bulletin along with the budget needs.  Is it meaningful?  Would you like a different format?
Do you have questions about how the budgets evolve?
Do you wonder about how much debt we carry?

If you are thinking about it, most likely others have the same thoughts. Now it's your turn.  Email me your subjects or questions at
[email protected] and I will endeavor to answer them through our newsletter.  Your name will not be revealed.
Methodist Men's Retreat

A few of our Methodist Men had a great time in retreat this past weekend
at the Life Enrichment Center in Fruitland Park, FL.
Pictured are Jesse Branom, Henry Luss, Joe Gracey,

Save the Date!
Saturday, November 14th from 9am - 12pm in Fellowship Hall Join us for a fun morning of shoebox packing to get in the holiday spirit and help our church reach our goal of 300 boxes!

We will have the boxes and many items to go in them but feel free to bring anything special you'd like to include. Remember no liquids or food items.

Our youth group helped sort through our collected items and amongst other things
we have 72 bars of soap, 123 boxes of crayons, and 157 stuffed animals!
We are really in need of washcloths, toothbrushes & toothpaste,
small toys & puzzles, and balls that will fit in shoeboxes. Keep collecting!!!

Please contact Jamie Johnson [email protected] for more information.
