We will be hosting a booth to raise funds for our Mission projects at the upcoming Winter Garden Music Fest 2015. This is
a three day event; October 9th - 11th.
We will be selling pork sandwiches, chips, sodas and water.

Music Fest Hours
Fri, Oct. 9th: 6:00p - 11:00p
Sat, Oct. 10th: 1:00p - 11:00p
Sun, Oct. 11th: 1:00p - 5:00p
|
The schedule is quite intense, but with enough volunteers we can make it a meaningful and painless experience. The shifts are in two hour increments.

Program speaker is Mr. Brian McNeel from the
"Crime Prevention Task Force", who will be talking about Home, Automobile, Personal Safety, and Identity Theft.
Menu: Bratwurst, oven roasted potatoes, sauerkraut, vegetable, salad, dessert.
Please let Joe Gracey, Craig Smith, or Henry Luss know if you will attend.
Dinner starts at 6:30pm, cost is $8.00.

The Florida Conference kicked off its first recipe contest this September, the month designated as Hunger Action Month by Feeding America. And, it will run through October, which is World Hunger Action Month, a focus for Stop Hunger Now.

General Secretary Statement on the Migration Crisis
In a recent statement concerning the migration crisis in Europe and around the world, Thomas Kemper, general secretary of Global Ministries, of which UMCOR is a part, cites the agency's ongoing work with international partners in bringing assistance to those uprooted and displaced from Syria, Iraq, and elsewhere.
