Processes and Tools for Transitioning to NGSS
Free Workshop
June 24, 2016, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Environmental and Science Education Providers who already have an introductory understanding of NGSS and its architecture and are based in Orange County and surrounding counties are invited to attend this free one-day workshop. It will be held at the Orange County Department of Education in Costa Mesa on June 24, 2016; 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. We will present multiple approaches and resources to help your organization to begin planning a transition to supporting the Next Generation Science Standards. We will facilitate demonstrating three-dimensional student-centered experiences piloted by practitioners in the field. Our focus will be on processes to build program capacity and begin planning implementation of NGSS in a collaborative atmosphere. You will walk away with tools and resources that you can choose from that best meet the needs of your site and staff.
