Spring 2016

With spring approaching rapidly, what could be a better way to spend those upcoming sunny days than camping  in Lassen Volcanic National Park! The Lassen Park Foundation, in collaboration with LVNP, provides grants to nonprofit youth organizations which helps provide the funding to facilitate camping trips for at risk students. These excursions allow students to explore the rich diversity of the Northern California Area by hiking nature trails, visiting hydro-thermal sites, and attending Ranger led educational talks. This is a wonderful opportunity to get your students outside and explore their inner scientist! The grant DEADLINE is April 29, 2016 so don't wait and pass up this wonderful opportunity to enjoy those snow covered peaks and filled lakes in Lassen National Park!
