OUTDOOR NATION CAMPUS CHALLENGE IN CHICO!

The Outdoor Nation Campus Challenge is about school communities and student bodies joining together to try and get the most people outside and active. The Outdoor Foundation's signature program, Outdoor Nation has selected nearly 60 colleges/universities across the US to engage in the 2015 Outdoor Nation Campus Challenge, kicking off Sept 6th and running through October 17th. The school that gets the most people outdoors and documenting those experiences on www.oncampuschallenge.org during the six-week period will win the National Outdoor Championship. Other prizes include title of Outsider of the Year, Most Outdoorsy Person on each participating campus Beyond the Challenge grants as well as great prizes, epic gear and more. Contest Core will be the platform that allows Outdoor Nation to track, validate, reward and recognize participation. - Log (link coming soon) as many activities as possible between September 6th and October 7th.
- Spread the word! Get your friends to register and log their activities too.
- Be sure to use #chicogetsout and #outdoornation on social media sites to encourage others to participate.
PRIZES Individual Prizes
- Prizes will be handed out EACH WEEK of the challenge (9/6 - 10/7) to the individual who earns the most points for CSU, Chico that week, as well as one other randomly selected person who logged an activity. Examples of prizes include: an evrgreen cooler backpack, an evrgreen downtime hammock, a free pair of Chaco Sandals, The North Face hats, Coleman tents and sleeping bags,Osprey backpacks, $100 gift card for Adidas Outdoor gear and more!
- The person who logs the most outdoor activity nationwide will be named Outsider of the Year and will win head-to-toe outfitting from The North Face and REI. It would be awesome for a Chicoan to win this award!
- One individual that logs the most outdoor activities for CSU, Chico will be named the Most Outdoorsy Person and will win tons of amazing outdoor gear from The North Face, REI and more.
Prize winners will be announced on Adventure Outings' social media outlets. Campus Prizes Along with the positive impacts associated with getting people into nature and winning a national prize, CSU, Chico also has the opportunity to win the following:
- A gear bank from The North Face and REI.
- Up to $3,000.
