Fall 2015

Fall is my favorite San Diego season. We have hot days, a month of warm nights, and we still have plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors after school. Fall is the season of trying new activities in class and feeling excited by our students! This year, think about focusing on how to bring nature into the classroom (such as the seed germination pictured above) and also bringing the classroom out into nature. We have plenty of wonderful resources in San Diego and Imperial to help you get started! Check the Region 9a homepage for programs and events in our area.

This year a new initiative is allowing all 4th graders across the country to receive an Every Kid in the Park pass. This pass allows the 4th grader and their family access to our National parks for the entire year! What an amazing opportunity to get kids outside. Take advantage in San Diego by visiting Cabrillo National Monument!
